ACC International Relief’s Response

ACC International Relief has launched a Disaster Relief Appeal to help communities affected by the earthquake which struck Haiti on Tuesday 12 Jan.

All funds raised will be passed onto our partner organisation, Convoy of Hope, who have been working on the ground in Haiti. Convoy of Hope has been working in Haiti for several years and their stocked warehouse has enabled them to respond immediately by distributing food, water and supplies to victims of the earthquake.

ACC International Relief has responded with-

• Food, water and supplies including 3.5 million meals were distributed in the first six weeks of the earthquake.
• Installation of five large water filtration systems each of which can deliver more than 200,000 litres of drinkable water per day. Training local staff to operate these systems.
• Another 5,000 Sawyer water filters will be installed.
• Continuing to rotate teams in and out of the country.
• Focusing on five key areas: 1-Distribution, 2-Warehousing, 3-Trucking/ Transportation, 4-Feeding program, and 5-Agricultural and Water Recovery.

ACC International Relief is partnering with Convoy of Hope in the current Chile earthquake disaster relief efforts and recently worked together with Samoa Tsunami relief activities.
