ACC International Relief donated $168,000 to our Project Partner, Convoy of Hope, for the disaster relief work in Haiti.

Dave Donaldson, co-founder of Convoy of Hope, writes, “We are so grateful for ACC International Relief’s generous support for our combined work in Haiti.Together, in the last 36 days, our relief team has fed more than 3.5 million meals and served more than 360,000 people.”

Teams continue to rotate in and out. Long term goals are being planned and more details on those will be coming soon. Five areas of focus will be: 1-Distribution, 2-Warehousing, 3-Trucking/ Transportation, 4-Feeding program, and 5-Agricultural and Water Recovery.

Locals have been trained to operate three massive water filtration systems each of which can deliver more than 200,000 litres of drinkable water per day. Also another 5,000 new Sawyer water filters will be installed.

Ben Shue, Director ACC International Relief urges, “Now is the time to demonstrate the power of loving our neighbours, today we have the opportunity to give, to serve, to pray…let’s take this opportunity to share with those in need, to extend grace, to exercise uncommon compassion. Even if we can only save the life of one person, it matters to this person.”

We wish to thank all those generous donors who have supported our efforts in Haiti during this horrific disaster.
